Invited Guests Ladies and Gentlemen.

Today is yet another great day in the history of Lavun Community Radio as we witness another town hall meeting with the Theme: working together for sustainability. We are pleased to have you today in attendance to deliberate and to reflect on issues of progress, and success, and to prefer solutions to challenges faced by the radio station.

In our Ten (10) years of Uninterrupted operations, we serve as a voice for the voiceless, holding the government accountable on issues that concern our people at the grassroots. We are equally serving as a training and prestigious institution for beginners to come and learn and acquire the necessary knowledge of how a true Community Radio Station should be for the Lecturers, Industrial Training (IT), Students, Researchers from various institutions and organizations, example Ibrahim Babangida University (IBB), Lapai, Niger State, University of Lagos, Lagos State, Bayero University Kano, Kano State and others, receipt and recognition of certificate of participation from Farm Radio International.  Invitation and Participation at the MDIF Media Forum in Thailand in November 2023 and the Africa Media Festival in Kenya in 2024. We are now on social media outlets such as the World Wide Web with the domain name; www.lavuncommunityradio.com, email; info@lavuncommunityradio.com, and Facebook; @LAVUN Community RADIO, and on WhatsApp.

Sustainability.

The Station has been sustaining itself for the last ten (10) years from the meager revenue generation and support from Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) such as Nigeria Media Innovation Program NAMIP MDIF, Farm Radio International, and West Africa Democracy Radio, Institute for Media and Society (IMS), etc.

Our Challenges.

We are faced with the following challenges; Inadequate skills and media knowledge, lack of steady and stable power supply, Low patronage, and the use of local equipment and tools of working.

Conclusion.

In conclusion, I thank you all for honoring our invitation, I also wish you successful discussions and interactions.

Thank you and God bless!!
