A high-powered delegation from Lavun Local Government Area, led by Hon. Isah Mohammed, Executive Chairman, Hon. Jibrin Ndagi Baba, Honorable Member representing Lavun Constituency, and Hon. Abdullahi Usman Gbatamangi, Chief of Staff to the Governor of Niger State, met with Farmer Governor Umar Bago to address the persistent security challenges plaguing some communities in Lavun LGA.

The affected communities include:

– Doko

– Takpa

– Boku

– Kupafu

– Etsu Zagi

– Gaba

– Anfani

– Kashikoko

– Sosa

– Fokpa

– Nku

– Tama Woro

The delegation sought to collaborate with the state government to establish effective measures for safeguarding lives and property in these areas, ensuring the well-being and security of residents.

This move is crucial, considering the broader security challenges facing Nigeria, including banditry, kidnapping, and ethnic and communal conflicts, which have resulted in a high level of insecurity. Effective collaboration between local government and stakeholders is essential in addressing these challenges.
